At Talentdu, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and safeguard your data when you visit our website, register for our courses, or apply to a program we deliver.

Data we collect

Personal information you provide:

• Name, email address and phone number
• Job title and company name
• Payment information (when you purchase a course)
• When you apply to a course or program: your application details, such as education history, nationality, identification number where required by the program, city of residence, CV and supporting documents, and your answers to application questions

Information collected automatically:

• Browser type, operating system and IP address
• Pages visited, and the time and date of visits (on our website)

How we use your data

• To provide our services. We use your information to register you for courses, webinars and events; to process and review program applications; to communicate decisions and next steps; and to deliver the programs you join.
• To communicate with you. We respond to your inquiries, provide support, and, where you have not opted out, send updates and information about our courses and services.
• To improve our website. We analyze non-personal usage information to improve performance and user experience.

Program applications (Applybase)

Applications to courses and programs are processed on Applybase, our application platform. When we deliver a program on behalf of a client institution or employer, that partner determines the purpose of the data collection, and Talentdu processes applicant data solely as a service provider for that program, never for our own purposes. Each application form displays its own privacy statement describing exactly what is collected, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept; that statement takes precedence for that program.

Unless a program's privacy statement says otherwise, application data of unsuccessful candidates is deleted no later than 12 months after the application window closes.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data or share it with data brokers. Program application data is never shared with advertisers or used for marketing. We share personal data in the following cases only:

• The institution or partner you apply to. If you apply to a program we deliver with or for a partner (for example, a university or an employer), your application is shared with that partner strictly for reviewing and managing your application and participation.
• Our service providers. The infrastructure that runs our platform: website and application hosting (Vercel), database and document storage (Supabase, on AWS servers in the European Union), and email delivery (Resend). These providers process data only on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
• Legal requirements. Where disclosure is required by applicable law or a valid legal request.
• Advertising platforms (course marketing only). To reach people who may be interested in our courses, we may share limited contact information (such as email addresses, in hashed form) with Meta to build custom and lookalike advertising audiences. This applies only to marketing contacts and course customers, never to program application data. You can opt out at any time by contacting us, and you can manage ad preferences directly in your Meta settings.

Where your data is stored

Application data and documents are stored on servers located in the European Union (Germany), with backups in the same region, protected by encryption in transit and at rest. Depending on your location, this may mean your data is transferred internationally; we ensure it remains protected to the standards described in this policy wherever it is processed.

Cookie policy

On our website (talentdu.com):

• Essential cookies, necessary for the site to function.
• Performance cookies, which help us understand which pages are most used so we can improve the site.
• Functionality cookies, which remember your preferences for a more personalized experience.
• Targeting and advertising cookies, used to deliver relevant advertising and measure campaign effectiveness.

On our application platform (Applybase portals): strictly essential cookies only, meaning your login session. No analytics, no advertising trackers, no session recording.

You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect website functionality.

Your rights

• Access and update: you may access and update your personal information by logging into your account or contacting us.
• Opt out of marketing: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us. Opting out never affects a pending application.
• Deletion: you may request deletion of your personal information; we will action it in accordance with applicable law and any program commitments described above.
• Data portability: you may request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent: where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

For applications made to a partner program, where your data has already been shared with that partner at the time of your request, we will inform the partner of your request so it can also be actioned on their systems, and we will refer your request to them where they control the data.
