Since 19 January 2026, 60% of marketing roles in any Saudi company with three or more marketers must be held by Saudi nationals, at a minimum salary of SAR 5,500 a month. That one rule from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has done more for the demand for trained digital marketers in the Kingdom than any Vision 2030 slogan.

The training market has not caught up. Search "digital marketing course Riyadh" and you get five-day workshops, one-year Arabic-language university diplomas, self-paced global certificates and a long tail of academies with no published price. They are not comparable.

This guide compares the credible options for someone in Saudi Arabia in 2026: what each delivers, what it costs in the currency the provider publishes, which certificate you walk away with, and when the next intake starts. We checked every program page on 20 September 2026.

Key takeaways

  • Prices in Saudi Arabia run from SAR 2,500 for a 50-hour university short course to SAR 22,800 for a five-day executive certificate. Depth does not track price.
  • Only one program on this list bundles a university diploma with Google, Meta and CPD credentials: the Talentdu PDMA, live online in the evening on a schedule that works from Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
  • Saudi universities now run one-year, Arabic-language digital marketing diplomas online for about SAR 8,000, recognized by HRSD but light on hands-on campaign work.

What to look for in a digital marketing course in Saudi Arabia

The right course leaves you able to run a campaign, prove it with a recognized credential, and fit it around a Saudi working week.

Recognition that travels. A university-backed diploma or a certificate from Google, Meta or the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI) is understood by HR teams in Riyadh, Dubai and London alike. A certificate of attendance from a training company is not.

Live, hands-on hours. Count the hours spent building campaigns with an instructor, not hours of recorded video. Twenty self-paced hours is an introduction; a hundred hours with assignments and a capstone is a qualification.

Language and schedule. Several strong local options are taught in Arabic. Check whether sessions run in the evening, at weekends or during the working day.

1. Talentdu, Professional Digital Marketing Associate (PDMA) Diploma

Website: talentdu.com
Duration: 12 weeks, 100 hours (48 live, 52 self-paced)
Format: Live online from Beirut, two sessions a week, with select in-person sessions at the LAU ACE Office Beirut
Price: $1,800 (can be split into two payments of $900)
Certifications: LAU ACE Associate Diploma, Google Fundamentals of Digital Marketing, Meta Certified Digital Marketing Associate, and two CPD Group certificates (Social Media Marketing, No Code Web Design)
Next start: 2 October 2026 (Friday evenings and Saturday mornings), then 12 January 2027 (Tuesday and Thursday evenings). Full schedule
Rating: 4.9/5 average from 73 published reviews

The PDMA is the only program here that combines a university diploma with Google, Meta and CPD credentials in one 12-week curriculum. Talentdu, a professional education company in Downtown Beirut, delivers it with the Lebanese American University's Academy of Continuing Education (LAU ACE), and its graduates come from 15+ countries.

For a reader in Saudi Arabia the practical question is the clock. Sessions run from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Beirut time. Saudi Arabia stays on UTC+3 all year while Lebanon moves its clocks back at the end of October, so the October cohort starts at 6:30 PM Riyadh time and shifts to 7:30 to 9:30 PM from late October; the January cohort runs at 7:30 to 9:30 PM Riyadh time throughout, and the weekend cohort's Saturday session lands at 10:00 AM to noon. Nothing falls inside Saudi office hours.

The curriculum covers SEO, content, Google Ads, Meta Ads, email, analytics, no-code web design, branding and AI tools, taught live by Talentdu's founder Omar Kandil, who also runs the New York agency OBCIDO Inc. The diploma is awarded on coursework plus a final project, the Google assessment is taken online during the program, the two CPD courses are included, and the Meta exam is proctored with the fee included; if you are enrolling from Saudi Arabia, ask the team about exam arrangements from KSA before you commit.

If your interest is AI in marketing rather than the full discipline, Talentdu also runs the six-week AI Marketing Professional Certificate (AIMP) with LAU ACE for $1,200, which many PDMA graduates take as a follow-on.

Best for: Anyone in Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam who wants an end-to-end, English-language qualification recognized across the GCC and can commit to two evenings a week for three months.

Potential drawback: No Saudi campus, so in-person sessions and exam logistics are Beirut-based; the price is in US dollars rather than SAR; and winter sessions end at 9:30 PM Riyadh time.

2. KFUPM Dammam Community College, Digital Marketing & Social Media Management Excellence

Website: dcc.kfupm.edu.sa
Duration: 50+ hours over approximately two months
Format: Online, two to three evenings a week (except Friday), 6:00 to 9:00 PM
Price: SAR 2,500 (VAT inclusive, non-refundable)
Certification: KFUPM Certificate of Completion (80% attendance plus submitted assignments, lab work and a project)
Next start: The page lists 12 July 2026; contact DCC for the next run
Instructor: Mr. Hasan Perrveiz (course coordinator)

King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is the most respected technical university in the Eastern Province, and its Dammam Community College runs this course under the Deanship of Educational Services. The syllabus is broader than the title suggests: marketing fundamentals, digital strategy, social media management, branding, CRM, customer experience, campaign planning and channel performance. Evening sessions, online delivery and a certificate that requires submitted work rather than a quiz make it the best-value university-branded option in the Kingdom.

Best for: Professionals in Dammam, Khobar and Dhahran who want a KFUPM credential on an evening schedule.

Potential drawback: Half the depth of a full diploma, no external certifications, and no start date published after July 2026 when we checked.

3. Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University (formerly Saudi Electronic University), Digital Marketing Diploma

Website: ac.seu.edu.sa
Duration: One academic year (two semesters), 30 credit hours
Format: Fully online, Arabic
Price: SAR 4,000 per semester excluding VAT (SAR 8,000 for the diploma); 30% discount for Public Security personnel
Certification: Diploma classified by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (fourth rank, first grade)
Next start: 23 August 2026 (already started; the next intake was not published when we checked)

Saudi Electronic University was renamed Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University in 2026, and its Applied College runs the Kingdom's most accessible government-recognized digital marketing diploma: ten courses over two semesters, from principles of marketing and advertising to online campaigns, websites, ad production and content marketing. The appeal is the HRSD classification, which matters for Saudi nationals whose employers are counting roles under the 60% marketing localization rate, and the price, which is low for a year of university study.

Best for: Saudi high-school graduates, job seekers and junior marketers who want a recognized academic diploma in Arabic and can study over a full year.

Potential drawback: The course list reads like marketing foundations rather than hands-on digital work: no Google Ads, SEO or analytics module by name, no platform certifications, and the whole year is in Arabic.

4. Al-Maarefa University, Digital Marketing Diploma

Website: diploma.um.edu.sa
Duration: One academic year (eight months), 30 credit hours
Format: Live online via Teams and Zoom, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Arabic; 40% instructor-led, 60% self-study
Price: Not published; contact Al-Maarefa University
Certification: University diploma accredited by the National Center for e-Learning
Next start: The first batch ran from 18 January to 3 September 2026; the next batch was not published when we checked

Al-Maarefa's diploma is the more marketing-literate of the two university diplomas here. Its six courses are Marketing, Digital Marketing (strategy, content, SEO, SEM and PPC, social, email and influencer marketing), Brand Strategy, Sales, Negotiation and Deal Closing, and CRM, plus a graduation project. The page names the lecturer for each course and publishes the weekly timetable; teaching is live with case studies and projects, and exams are taken remotely.

Best for: Arabic-speaking professionals who want a year-long university diploma covering sales and CRM as well, and can attend three evenings a week.

Potential drawback: The 4:00 to 8:00 PM slot overlaps with office hours, the price is not published, and only a third of the year is spent on digital channels.

5. Meirc Training & Consulting, Certificate in Digital Marketing

Website: meirc.com
Duration: 5 days
Format: Classroom in Riyadh (Arabic); also Dubai and virtual
Price: SAR 22,800 (USD 6,000) per participant, subject to VAT, including daily coffee breaks and lunch
Certification: Meirc Professional Certificate (MPC) on full attendance and passing the final-day test
Next start: Riyadh, 25 to 29 October 2026; Dubai and virtual, 13 to 17 December 2026

Meirc is one of the longest-established corporate training firms in the Gulf, and this five-day certificate is what many Saudi HR departments book when a manager needs a fast, formal grounding. The outline covers digital strategy, social media advertising, content, Google Ads, email, SEO and performance measurement. The Riyadh run is in Arabic.

Best for: Managers and business owners whose employer is paying and who need a recognized Gulf training brand on the certificate within a week.

Potential drawback: By far the most expensive option per hour on this list, with no university affiliation or platform certification.

6. LEORON Professional Development Institute, Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP)

Website: leoron.com
Duration: 4 to 5 days, 35 NASBA CPE credits
Format: Face-to-face in Riyadh, with live virtual, self-paced and in-house options
Price: Not published; contact LEORON
Certification: LEORON certificate of participation or accreditation on completion
Next start: Riyadh, 7 to 10 December 2026, then 17 to 21 January 2027

LEORON runs open-enrollment professional courses across the GCC and lists Riyadh twice in the coming months. The six modules cover strategy, content and social media, SEO and paid media, email, website and conversion optimization, and analytics. The 35 NASBA credits matter if you need to log professional development hours.

Best for: Corporate marketing staff who want an intensive classroom week in Riyadh in December or January.

Potential drawback: Pricing is quote-based, the instructor is not named, and the page does not say whether the certificate is LEORON's own or the Digital Marketing Institute's CDMP, so confirm before you pay.

7. Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate (Coursera)

Website: coursera.org
Duration: Eight courses, about six months at 10 hours a week
Format: Self-paced online, beginner level
Price: Coursera subscription, $49 a month after a seven-day trial in the US and Canada; local pricing varies, and Google says most learners finish for under $300
Certification: Google Career Certificate
Next start: Any time

The Google certificate is the global option people in Saudi Arabia most often consider: 1.5 million learners have enrolled and it holds a 4.8 rating from more than 51,000 reviews. The eight courses cover fundamentals, search, email, analytics and e-commerce. It is a sound way to learn the vocabulary and tools at your own pace, for less than a day of most Riyadh classroom courses, but nobody reviews your campaigns and there is no diploma at the end.

Best for: Self-starters who want a Google credential on a small budget, or want to test their interest before a live program.

Potential drawback: No live teaching, no GCC-specific recognition, and self-paced completion rates are low; most people need a cohort to finish.

Also worth knowing

The Digital Marketing Institute's Professional Diploma (DMI Pro) is a nine-module, self-paced course of about 22 hours leading to the Certified Digital Marketing Professional credential; the price appears only after you select a region on the DMI site. Saudi nationals can also use Doroob, the Human Resources Development Fund's e-learning platform, which HRDF describes as free for Saudi citizens, as a supplement rather than a qualification.

How to choose the right program for you

Match the program to the job you want, not to the brand on the certificate.

If you want to be job-ready with credentials that work across the GCC, the Talentdu PDMA is the strongest option: 100 hours, live teaching, a university diploma and Google, Meta and CPD certificates, from your living room in Riyadh or Jeddah. The trade-off is evening sessions and a USD price.

If you are a Saudi national building a career under the localization rules, an HRSD-recognized university diploma has specific value. Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University is the affordable, fully online route; Al-Maarefa adds live teaching and a sales and CRM layer.

If you need a certificate this quarter and your company is paying, Meirc (October) and LEORON (December) both run in Riyadh: a week of grounding, not a qualification.

If you are testing the water, a month of the Google certificate costs less than a lunch in Riyadh. If you are in the Eastern Province, KFUPM's evening course is the obvious local pick.

The digital marketing job market in Saudi Arabia (2026)

Demand for digital marketers in Saudi Arabia is being pulled by two forces: the consumer-facing sectors Vision 2030 is funding (tourism, entertainment, real estate, fintech and e-commerce, all of which live on paid social, search and content), and a legal requirement to fill marketing roles with Saudis. Riyadh's regional headquarters push is also adding in-house brand and performance teams that used to sit in Dubai.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development raised the Saudization rate for marketing professions to 60% from 19 January 2026, for any establishment with three or more marketing employees, with a minimum counted salary of SAR 5,500 a month. The listed professions include marketing manager, marketing specialist, advertising and promotion specialist and public relations specialist. For Saudi candidates that is a structural tailwind; for expatriate marketers it means the roles that remain open will favor specialists with proven skills.

Published salary data is thin but consistent. GulfTalent puts the average Digital Marketing Specialist salary in Saudi Arabia at SAR 6,000 a month, in a range of SAR 2,500 to SAR 9,000, with Riyadh paying the most (updated September 2026, small sample). PayScale reports a median base of SAR 60,000 a year for the same title, with total pay reaching SAR 100,000 (nine profiles, July 2026). Manager-level roles pay more, but no public source has a sample large enough to quote.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best digital marketing course in Saudi Arabia?

For job-ready training with a university diploma and Google, Meta and CPD certifications, the Talentdu PDMA is the strongest option available in Saudi Arabia in 2026. For a Saudi-university credential in Arabic, Prince Musaed bin Abdulrahman University and Al-Maarefa run one-year online diplomas; for a classroom week in Riyadh, Meirc and LEORON.

How much does a digital marketing course cost in Riyadh?

Between SAR 2,500 and SAR 22,800, depending on depth. KFUPM's 50-hour evening course is SAR 2,500, a one-year university diploma is about SAR 8,000 plus VAT, and Meirc's five-day certificate is SAR 22,800. The Talentdu PDMA is $1,800 for 100 hours and five credentials, payable in two installments.

Can I study digital marketing online from Saudi Arabia?

Yes, and most of the strongest options are online: Talentdu teaches live from Beirut in the evening, KFUPM's course is online in the evening, both Saudi university diplomas are distance programs, and the Google certificate is self-paced.

Are there digital marketing courses in Jeddah and Dammam, not just Riyadh?

Dammam has KFUPM's Dammam Community College evening course. In Jeddah the practical route is online: the Talentdu PDMA, the two Saudi university diplomas and the Google certificate are available from anywhere in the Kingdom.

Is there a free digital marketing course for Saudis?

The Human Resources Development Fund's Doroob platform offers free e-learning to Saudi citizens. It is useful for fundamentals but does not replace an instructor-led program with a recognized credential.

What time do Talentdu's live sessions run in Saudi Arabia?

Sessions are 6:30 to 8:30 PM Beirut time, which is the same clock time in Riyadh in summer and 7:30 to 9:30 PM Riyadh time from late October to late March. The weekend cohort's Saturday session is 10:00 AM to noon in Riyadh over the winter.
